Nordic Conditions >> poor

With the recent wet weather and low snow volume the Nordic ski area is in very early season skiing conditions…...fairly uniform thin snow overall with bare/very thin snow patches, rocks showing, wet areas, and running water across the trail in the Dog Trail east area. The snow is too thin for setting a classical ski track but the trail is packed and groomed as smooth as is possible for now…..lets hope for a bit more snow.
Warm night time temperatures even at the Nordic trail has meant very wet snow for grooming resulting in a very uneven trail in some areas. Dogs on the trails are punching through with their paws in this warm snow.
Foretcasted cold weather will turn the entire Nordic ski area into a very icy trail until fresh cold snow arrives… least we have a solid base for the rest of the season.
