Our Constitution
The Kaslo and Area Outdoor Recreation Society was a community based, not-for-profit society encouraging community and visitor participation in outdoor recreation and sport activities, especially, but not limited to, Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, mountain biking, hiking, running and the like.It is now KORTS Kaslo Outdoor Recreation and Trails Society
KORTS in cooperation with The Kaslo & District Community Forest Society and the Ministry of Natural Resources has acquired a Recreation Tenure for an area along the south-west flanks of Mt Buchanan (Mt Buchanan Rec Area). The area is to be multi-use with the developed use intended to be for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and ski touring in the winter; mountain biking, hiking, running & horse riding in the summer.
